A viral image claiming to show President Trump in a compromising moment during his recent state visit to Ireland has been circulating online, though a closer look suggests the photo isn't what it appears to be.

Trump did visit Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg, County Clare, during his two-day state visit to Ireland, and genuine photos and video from the trip show Natalie Harp, one of his executive assistants, accompanying him as part of his usual travelling staff, alongside other aides and family members, including his sons Eric and Donald Trump Jr.
Why the specific image is disputed
The image in question, however, does not clearly show either person's face, and reporting on the photo has identified several inconsistencies typical of AI-generated or manipulated images, including irregularities in surrounding objects and figures within the scene. Artificial intelligence detection tools have reportedly flagged the photo as likely generated or altered rather than an authentic photograph. Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem publicly described the image as fake shortly after it began circulating.
Who Natalie Harp actually is
Harp has worked for the Trump administration since 2022, initially becoming known for closely accompanying Trump and providing him with printed materials. Since Trump's return to office in 2025, she has held the formal role of Special Assistant to the President and Executive Assistant to the President, a role that regularly involves travelling with him to official engagements.
