A 13-second video of a 20-year-old French woman getting water sprayed on her at a party has now passed 100 million views, and the woman at the centre of it is making moves fast. Océane, known online as Aora DJ, has confirmed she has signed with a management agency to help turn her overnight internet fame into something with actual longevity. Given how quickly these moments usually fade, she is right to act quickly.

She told UNILAD she never expected the clip to travel this far. "I was simply enjoying a Summer Rockz party in Lloret de Mar with my friends," she said. "I never expected such a spontaneous moment to go viral internationally." She admits she still cannot fully process the scale of the attention, describing herself as "just a normal girl" who was being herself. One commenter called her "Planet Earth's new crush," which is a lot to wake up to when you had no idea you were being filmed.

What is interesting is that Océane already had a direction before any of this happened. She has wanted to be a DJ since she was a child and describes music as her biggest passion. The viral moment has not created her ambition, it has just handed her an audience of 100 million people to introduce it to. That is a very different position to be in compared to someone who goes viral with no particular talent or goal behind them.

The question now is what she does with it. The Ibiza Final Boss, Jack Kay, turned a clip of his haircut at a pool party into a reported net worth of $2.6 million through brand deals, music releases, TV appearances and a boxing match. Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch took a similar shot but stumbled badly with a crashed cryptocurrency coin that left fans feeling burned. The difference between those two outcomes came down to management, timing and knowing which doors to walk through.

Océane has ticked the first box by signing with an agency early. Whether she can actually build a DJ career on the back of this or whether the moment burns out in a few weeks remains to be seen. But right now, the platform is there. The ambition is there. And 100 million people already know her face.
