Alexis "Lexi" Kramer, 22, from Lakeland, Florida, has been identified as the second victim in a fiery McLaren crash in Irvine, California, that also killed car influencer James Wehr, 27.

What happened

The pair died when the supercar smashed into a tree and split apart at around 12:20am on Sunday. Police said the vehicle had been stopped at a red light near Culver Drive and Deerfield Avenue before accelerating at high speed once the light turned green, with the driver losing control and crashing. The impact caused the car to split apart and catch fire. Authorities have not confirmed who was driving and the investigation remains ongoing.

How the pair met

According to a family member, Kramer had connected with Wehr on Instagram roughly a month before flying out to California to meet him in person for the first time on Friday, with Wehr covering the cost of her flight. Wehr had reportedly told Kramer he was in the process of separating from his wife, Emma, though Orange County court records did not show a divorce case had been filed. The pair spent the weekend together, including a first date, breakfast, drinks, and attending Wehr's weekly car show, before the crash occurred hours later.

What her family said

A family member told The Post: "[He] talked to her every day all the time and finally got her to fly out to California to come see him," adding that Kramer had a genuine passion for American muscle cars and motorcycles. They said: "She loved the car community, so it's such a tragedy that that's what ended her. As you can imagine, this was very shocking and hard. She was kind and funny and charismatic and I've had so many people reach out and share their wonderful experiences with Lexi."

Kramer's sister, Gracie, shared a tribute on Instagram, writing: "My mother always told us growing up that there was always only one person meant to be with you and have your back no matter what and that would always be your sister. Lexi was so much more than just my best friend, she was all of my love, my heart, my attitude, and my humor wrapped into a smaller, more chaotic, less filtered, package. She was my other half."

Who James Wehr was

Wehr was the founder of South OC Cars and Coffee, described as the world's biggest weekly car show, held in San Clemente and drawing thousands of attendees each week. His wife, Emma, shared a tribute following the crash, writing: "James, I never thought the day would come that I'd have to say such a final goodbye. Getting the opportunity to love you will always be the greatest blessing in my life. You're smart, kind, funny, loving, and genuinely one of the best people I've had the pleasure of knowing." Wehr's family described him as their "darling son and brother" and has asked for privacy while they grieve.

Kramer's background

Kramer worked as a bartender and had recently started a new leadership role at a different company, having also just earned an associate's degree from Polk State College. Her Instagram bio noted she was a 2026 Hooters calendar girl.
