Isla Fisher has opened up about her dating life since divorcing Sacha Baron Cohen, sharing a story about a recent "ick" moment that completely changed how she felt about someone she'd been seeing.
The moment that changed everything
Speaking on the Overheard Happy Hour TikTok account, Fisher explained that she'd liked a guy until an incident involving his dog running off. Rather than chasing after it in a typical way, she said he ran after it hunched over with his hands stretched out, describing it as looking cartoonish. According to Fisher, that single moment steadily built into enough cringe that her attraction to him evaporated entirely by the time he'd caught the dog.
Life after her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen
Fisher's dating comments come more than two years after Page Six first reported her split from Cohen, following 14 years of marriage. The pair finalised their divorce last June, releasing a joint statement saying they remained proud of what they'd built together and committed to co-parenting their children, while asking for the media to respect their kids' privacy.
Fisher previously described the divorce as challenging, telling Elle Decoration last November that moving into her own home for the first time as a single woman brought her to tears, especially coming shortly after the death of her father in 2023. She said building a new life from the ground up emotionally had been difficult but ultimately rewarding, and that she's enjoying this new chapter.
Fisher and Cohen first met in 2001 and married in 2010. They share three children: daughters Olive and Elula, and son Montgomery.
