Malia Nummerdor, the Florida mother charged with sexual activity involving animals after her estranged husband Erik provided hidden camera footage to police, has made a significant counter-allegation against the man who reported her.
Nummerdor, 38, has consistently denied any sexual contact took place with the family dog, Ranger, claiming she was simply petting the animal. When questioned by police she acknowledged she was the person shown in the footage but said nothing inappropriate had occurred, though investigators noted she was unable to provide a consistent explanation for what the recordings appeared to show.
Her allegation against Erik: she claims he installed the cameras inside the family home without her knowledge, accessed her social media accounts without permission to post the images and videos publicly, and that the footage itself was recorded in 2024 and had been in his possession for approximately two years before he reported it to police. She further alleges that Erik had previously threatened her with the videos before ultimately using them against her.
If true, the allegations raise questions about why the footage was held for so long before being reported and what role the couple's difficult separation may have played in the timing of the police report.
Calls to a number listed for Erik were not immediately returned.
Nummerdor remains in custody at Charlotte County Jail with bond set at $35,000.
