Bonnie Blue has given birth, putting an end to months of online speculation that her pregnancy wasn't genuine. The adult star, real name Tia Billingsher, announced the arrival of her baby, whom she's named Mini Blue, this week.
Doubts over the pregnancy
Blue has built a reputation for controversial publicity stunts, including one widely reported claim of sleeping with over a thousand men in a single 12-hour period. Given that history, when pregnancy rumours first surfaced earlier this year, a number of fans assumed it was another stunt rather than a real pregnancy. Blue confirmed the pregnancy was genuine in an exclusive comment to the Daily Star at the time.
A healthy birth, by C-section
Announcing the birth, Blue said she'd had a C-section and that both she and the baby were doing well, though she described the recovery as more painful than expected. She gave birth at St Mary's Hospital in London, in the Lindo Wing — the same private maternity unit used by Kate Middleton for the births of her children.
Her take on private healthcare
Since the birth, Blue has been vocal about her hospital experience, encouraging her followers to consider private healthcare if they can afford it. She described her stay as feeling closer to a hotel than a hospital, and argued the cost is often lower than people assume compared to other lifestyle spending.
She also took aim at celebrities who use NHS services while publicly complaining about them, despite being able to afford private flights and other luxuries.
