Jake Paul has issued a furious denial after Dutch media circulated claims that he had called off his engagement to speed skater and Winter Olympics gold medallist Jutta Leerdam.
The rumours originated with Dutch media personality Yvonne Coldeweijer, who alleged that Paul had ended the relationship approximately two weeks prior, claiming he had taken back the engagement ring when dropping Leerdam home. Coldeweijer also made allegations of infidelity, though no evidence has been presented to support that claim.
Paul, 29, took to X to push back on the reports directly, writing: "Seeing the Dutch media lying about my fiancé Jutta and I. There is so much false information being spread about Jutta in the past years. It needs to stop."
Leerdam had been in the spotlight in February after winning gold in the women's 1000m speed skating event at the Winter Olympics in Milan, with Paul present in the crowd to support her. She also took silver in the 500m. Paul marked the occasion on social media, writing that he could not stop crying and calling her achievement a sign that "God is great."
He also gifted her a Bentley Brabus G-Class, worth around £400,000, to celebrate her double medal haul, writing: "Only the best for my queen. She worked hard for the gold and silver so I got her a bronze G Wagon."
The couple announced their engagement last year. Neither has made any further public comment beyond Paul's denial.
