Snoop Dogg has announced he's hiring an international ice cream taster, and the role comes with a genuinely eye-catching salary: $10,000 a month, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
Why Snoop Dogg is hiring
The role is for Dr. Bombay, the ice cream brand Snoop launched with his son Cordell Broadus in 2023. Announcing the opening, Snoop said the company is looking beyond the US for flavour inspiration as it expands globally, partnering with hiring platform Deel to find someone who can sample frozen treats, spot emerging trends, and help shape future products.
The brand's roots reportedly trace back to Snoop's father, Vernell Varnado, who grew up on a dairy farm in Mississippi. Varnado appeared in a promotional video for the role, saying the company is now going global and needs help finding new flavours.
How to apply
Applications are open now through Deel's website. Candidates are asked to provide personal information, their social media handles, and details about their ice cream experience. The application also includes more personality-driven questions, including how much ice cream the applicant eats in an average week, and a challenge to create a social media post about a food or flavour combination they're currently into.
Part of a bigger push
The hire comes not long after Dr. Bombay released its first popsicle in June, called the Snoopsicle. The treat comes in a raspberry, cherry, and lime sherbet combination the brand calls "razzed out," and is made with real fruit juice and no artificial colours. It's currently available at select Costco locations, with a 24-pack retailing for $14.99.
