Below Deck star Gael Cameron has spoken out following an ongoing arrest warrant for her ex-partner and former co-star Nathan Gallagher, who is accused of skipping a court date tied to domestic violence charges.
Where things stand with Gallagher
New South Wales Police have issued a warrant for Gallagher's arrest after he failed to appear at his scheduled court date. Police describe him as 28, of Caucasian appearance, around 165cm tall, and known to frequent the Ermington and Melrose Park areas, believing he is currently offshore. He was originally taken into custody in December, charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault, before being granted conditional bail. The charges are believed to relate to Cameron, with whom Gallagher shares a child.
What Cameron said
Sharing a message on her Instagram Stories, Cameron thanked her followers for the support they'd shown her and her son, Kayden, describing the past few months as a tough season that she's used to quietly heal and rebuild for both of them. She said she appreciated the love sent her way, particularly given everything that had come to light, and that she's focused on finding herself again and moving forward.
Gallagher's response to the allegations
Speaking to Rolling Stone last month, Gallagher said he was willing to respond publicly because he believes the full story hasn't been told. He confirmed his December arrest but argued that what's been reported represents only one side of what he described as an extremely complicated situation. He said he has video footage from the night in question, along with messages and other records, which he believes provide important context not yet made public, and said he's willing to share that material so others can assess it themselves.
Bravo's response
Bravo, the network behind Below Deck, has confirmed it has cut ties with Gallagher following the charges.
